John Frusciante after leaving Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the band in which he played for almost two decades, became self-hectic about his career as a solo musician and as a collaborator to some artists. One of whom is The Mars Volta’s Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. Already proverbial with each other, the two methodological guitarists concerted another piece of rapture. This seven-track instrumental album is the second collaboration of the two following 2005's “The Special 12 Singles Series". Produced by Omar, the album was released digitally last April 2010. Although some of the songs have been available since 2006, most of its content remained unreleased until now.

What the fans must hear is this: The “Omar Rodriguez Lopez & John Frusciante” album, yes that’s what they named it, brilliant isn’t it? Can be downloaded for FREE! I mean free! Hell yeah right! Still they prompted those who want to download it to donate an amount of their choice that will go directly to "Keep Music In Schools".
