AAR005 – Born in Nigeria, raised in Boston and now living in Ajman; musician and pharmacy student Ronald Ekore has been crafting deep-rooted music at an early age. We were first introduced to him via a soulful band called Pink Jaeger and it’s easy to put notice the solemn and intimate spirit that his calming voice brings every time he utters the lyrics of their songs. POWERS is an experimental masterpiece that combines ambient & dream-pop elements with minimal instrumentation layered with soulful and spoken-word poetic lyricism. Initially a visual art and poetry project with close friend and collaborator Carmellite Chamblin, the process culminated into a 10-track personal odyssey of his search for perception of the elements that defines his identity. With support from bandmates Albadri Alkhaja and Victor Olaitan, Ronald crafted these songs that not just represents his current explorations and visions of his reality but also his aspirations of a better tomorrow.
